Manali
Immerse yourself in the pristine beauty of the Himalayas with the Bhrigu Lake trek. Bhrigu Lake, also known as the high-altitude alpine lake trek, is a well-known site in the Himalayas that offers a slice of nature’s splendour to a diverse range of individuals who have varying requirements and preferences. Beginning with the verdant meadows, breathtaking views of snow-capped mountains, expansive skyscapes, vivid flowers, and a sense of spirituality, this location is a tranquil refuge that is full of surprises from nature. If you are searching for a brief experience that will leave you feeling awestruck, then this four-day trek will not fail to astound you at every single stage of the journey. The appealing Bhrigu Lake will be found in the Kullu region of Himachal Pradesh, which is located at an elevation of 14,000ft. When it comes to the extensive list of alpine lake treks, Bhrigu Lake is regarded to be one of the shortest and most reachable lake treks in the Himalayas.
Manali, which is located close to the valley’s lowest point, is not only one of the most popular tourist destinations in Himachal Pradesh but also one of the most well-known tourist destinations in the world. The word “Manali” conjures up images of waterfalls and the sound of songbirds, as well as woods and orchards and stunning glacial mountains. Manali is the actual beginning point of a historic trade route that traverses the Rohtang and Baralacha passes, travels through Lahul and Ladakh, and ultimately leads to Kashmir. Additionally, a diverging road establishes a connection between Manali and Spiti. Currently, the motor connection has been established all the way up to Kaza in Lahul and Spiti, as well as Leh in Jammu and Kashmir, and the Pangi valley in Chamba. During the summer months, Manali is the starting point for frequent bus services that go to these locations. Around forty-five km away from Kullu is where you will find it.
There is a fascinating tradition about Manali that states that Manu, the author of the “Manu Samhita,” first walked on earth from the heavenly boat at a location in this country after the great deluge. This narrative is said to have occurred after the world was flooded. “Manu-Alaya,” which literally translates to “the abode of Manu,” is the term that is often used to refer to the location where he erected his residence. This specific location is now known as Manali. In the hamlet of Manali, there is still a temple that is devoted to the god Manu. Explore mall road in the evening and take rest for the night in the hotel after dinner.
Our representative will pick you up today from the area next to Mall Road in Manali, and then continue to drive you to Gulaba. Gulaba is around 38 kilometres away from Manali, and it will take you between one and two hours to go there. After we have arrived in Gulaba, we shall begin our journey to Kothi thel (tach). Following breakfast, begin your journey to Rola Kholi from Kothi Thel, which is around a five to six hour trek. Rest in Rola Kholi, have dinner and sleep for the night.
Following breakfast, begin your journey to the breathtaking Bhrigu Lake. Today will be a rather lengthy journey, but it will be one of the most breathtaking ones. Following the completion of some unforgettable experiences in Bhrigu Lake, make your way down to Rola Kholi.
Following breakfast, make your way back down to Kulang village, following the same path that you used on the first day of the trek. Approximately three hours are required for the descent. Kulang village will be the location where you will find a vehicle waiting for you to take you back to Old Manali. This is the last day of your trek and from Manali you are free to stay further or go back to home as per your own itenerary.

The best time for the trek is generally from June to October when the weather is conducive and the trails are accessible. This period offers pleasant temperatures and clear skies, ideal for trekking.
The trek is considered moderately challenging, suitable for both beginners with a reasonable level of fitness and experienced trekkers. The altitude gain can be demanding, but the well-defined trails and gradual ascents make it achievable for most people.
The trek typically takes around 6-7 days to complete, depending on the specific itinerary chosen by the trekking company or organizer.
Accommodation during the trek typically consists of camping in tents at designated campsites along the route. Some itineraries may also include stays in guesthouses or homestays in local villages.
Altitude sickness can be a concern, especially when crossing Hampta Pass, which reaches an altitude of approximately 14,100 feet (4,300 meters). It is essential for trekkers to acclimatize properly, stay hydrated, and be aware of the symptoms of altitude sickness.
Essential items to pack include appropriate trekking gear (such as sturdy hiking boots, warm clothing, waterproof jackets, and sleeping bags), personal medication, sun protection (sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat), water bottles, snacks, and a first aid kit.
